Meet Dr. Anum Ali

Anum Ali is a distinguished mental health therapist, workplace wellness strategist, consultant, and doctoral candidate in Counselor Education. She has been recognized as the Emerging Leader by the Texas Counseling Association (2024) and honored with a range of prestigious awards, including the Distinguished Service Leadership Award (2024), the Outstanding Doctoral Student Award (2023), the Excellence in Research and Service Award from the European Branch of the American Counseling Association (2023), and the Exemplary Volunteer Service Award (2022). Anum has also been recognized as a Holmes Scholar (2024), reflecting her dedication to advancing mental health care, education, and equity.

As the founder and CEO of Socratic Therapy, Anum provides specialized clinical services to adolescents and adults. She also serves as a clinical researcher for a mental health tech company, where she develops innovative tools to help families navigate the challenges of social media. In addition, Anum mentors graduate students as a clinical supervisor at the Parris Foundation and has previously driven advancements in mental health care as a director for Nunchi Health founded at Harvard Medical School.

Anum works with organizations to design wellness workshops and implement strategies that promote employee mental health. She is a TEDx speaker, advocating for digital resilience among adolescents. Guided by a commitment to making mental health care more accessible and culturally responsive, Anum’s work bridges clinical practice, technology, and community engagement.
